(Looking for the Wholesale FAQ?)
Who or what is Knottwood?
Knottwood is a collective of artists and crafty individuals (craftsmen, craftswomen, craftspeople, craftsweasels... whatever you feel most comfortable with). The sole and complete purpose of Knottwood is for us to scratch a living doing what we love, so that you can continue to buy what you love; its as simple as that! We aren't out to own your soul, takeover the world or try to sell you things you don't want. We just like to make stuff.

Do I need a Paypal Account to pay for my Items?
No, no you don't! :)
Why did I get a warning from Internet explorer when I entered your site?
It's because of the type of code we use in the news bar, its not nasty. It's explained fully at the beginning of our Help section.
How do I order more than one of the same item?
The easiest way is to add one, then go to your basket and increase the quantity. However some items on the site are totally unique, so there isn't more than one.
Can I commission you to undertake a project?
Knottwood is always available to discuss a project, please visit our Commissions page
Are any of your items available for wholesale?
Yes, you can now buy stock for your own business from our Wholesale Section. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any enquiries.
What does OOAK mean?
OOAK stands for One-Of-A-Kind, meaning you can only order one of this item... Because only one has ever been made, OOAK items are totally unique and cannot be replicated. You will see OOAK under the price on an item page and in the item title in your shopping Cart/Basket.
Can I join Knottwood?
We are always interested in new ideas and people to join our scurvy crew. So should you want to get involved read through this Page before contacting us.
How do you make…? What are your materials?
Our products vary widely in materials and technique, however if you're interested in the specifics of any particular item please contact us and we'll fill in the details for you. Eventually we're going to have a creation process up somewhere on the site, but until we can ply the coder with enough coffee to make it, just email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Do you have a shop in the real world?
As yet Knottwood exists only in the virtual plane, however we are a shiny new company and who knows what will happen further down the line. We will be participating in craft and trade fairs, so keep checking the updates section for up coming events. We also have our Etsy Shop full of many amazing things! (There's more about Etsy at the bottom of the page)
Can I link to Knottwood?
Yes! We'd love to be linked, and if you drop us an e-mail we'll add you to our Links page. We'll soon have a banner or two you can use in the updates section.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes, we are happy to ship to wherever takes your fancy. We now have three buttons on each item page. One for the UK, one for Europe, and one for Australia, Canada, Japan and the USA. On heavy items we also have a fourth button, for all international customers which uses Surface Mail instead of Airmail. Check out the Payment & Postage section for full details.
Different country? In all likelihood the postage will be the same as the third button (Australia, Canada, Japan & USA) But PLEEEASE Email and check with us first!
I'm in the UK, but I want a different postage option!
Email us, and we'll see what we can do, no guarantees... but we'll try! And if we get enough requests we'll probably add a button for it :)
What happened to the Runes?
The Furthark Rune set will return! We're changing the way we make them... to make them better. We'll get them up on the site as soon as we can!
Why are your postage rates weird uneven numbers?
Because they come straight from the post office... and evidentially they like uneven numbers! All we charge as postage is the amount it takes to get your order to you... that's ALL!
I need a currency converter...
This is a good one: www.xe.com
What is Etsy, and where is Knottwoods Etsy Shop?
Etsy is an amaaaazing website & community where crafters from around the world sell their items, ONLY handmade items & crafting supplies are allowed... So we're right at home there! :)
Our Etsy shop is: http://www.knottwood.etsy.com
